TITLE:  Andrasko's Lessons

ABSTRACT: This course discusses problems relating to potential interactions between contact lenses and solutions. It reviews the negative effects of interactions and the measures practitioners can adopt to help reduce their occurrence. It presents the Andrasko Corneal Staining Grid as an important resource tool in informing the eye care practitioner as to the level of biocompatibility of various contact lens/multipurpose solutions. The course emphasizes the importance of practitioners paying particular care to the grouping together of products and of control visits to ensure patient compliance.
