| ABSTRACT:
This course presents the historic and scientific background of tonometry followed by a review of recent technologic breakthroughs in intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement. Included are case studies and citations of research papers that compare IOP measurements using traditional versus new technology. Implications of correct IOP measurement for understanding, diagnosing, and managing glaucoma are also discussed. |
