| ABSTRACT:
A common cause of an acute red eye in the adult population can be linked to a viral etiology. A viral keratoconjunctivitis can be straightforward and benign; however, many cases can be difficult to diagnose and thus progress to vision-threatening conditions. The subtle diagnostic signs and therapeutic management are discussed. |
